THE AURORA
Ambrosia Maple & Purpleheart · Face Grain
$130
The Aurora celebrates contrast. Naturally marked Ambrosia Maple provides a warm, creamy canvas while striking Purpleheart bands introduce rich colour and a contemporary edge. The natural markings in the maple ensure that every board has its own distinct character.

THE STORY
The Aurora begins with contrast. The pale, expressive surface of Ambrosia Maple carries dark mineral streaks and natural markings created during the life of the tree, while bands of Purpleheart introduce a saturated colour found naturally within the wood itself.
Rather than disguising those differences, the design gives each material room to speak. The broad maple sections preserve their irregular character while the Purpleheart provides structure and visual depth, creating a composition that feels simultaneously organic and contemporary.
The Aurora represents another side of Rose Studio: an openness to exceptional hardwoods beyond our local landscape when the material serves the design. Created primarily for serving and light preparation, it brings colour, craftsmanship and natural variation to the moments shared around the table.
