THE STORY

The Cadence takes its identity from the natural contrast between Black Walnut and Hard Maple. Deep Walnut accents move rhythmically across a field of lighter Maple, creating an offset pattern that feels deliberate without relying on perfect symmetry. Within that repetition, the exposed end grain reveals individual growth rings and subtle shifts in colour, ensuring the natural character of the wood remains visible throughout the composition.

Compact in footprint yet substantial at 1¼" thick, The Cadence was designed for everyday preparation where working space matters. Its end-grain construction creates a resilient, knife-friendly cutting surface, while the 13" × 10¾" proportions make it comfortable to handle, store and return to the counter day after day. It offers the performance of a Heritage board in a size intended for the realities of the everyday kitchen.

Ultimately, The Cadence is a study in movement. Its repeating pattern establishes a visual rhythm, while the changing grain ensures that repetition never becomes uniform.
