THE CALEDON

Figured Black Walnut · Edge Grain

$190  (SOLD)

The Caledon is an exercise in restraint. Made entirely from figured Black Walnut, its uninterrupted grain lines create movement across the board without relying on contrasting woods or decorative patterns. At 21" long and a full inch thick, it offers a generous working surface while remaining easier to handle than a comparable end-grain board.

THE STORY

The Caledon allows figured Black Walnut to speak without interruption. Long ribbons of grain travel across its surface, shifting between chocolate, amber and subtle golden tones. There are no contrasting woods to compete for attention; the composition is created entirely by the natural movement of the walnut itself.

At 21" long and a full inch thick, The Caledon provides a generous preparation surface while its edge-grain construction keeps it practical for everyday use. Each strip is selected and arranged to create continuity across the board, allowing individual pieces of walnut to read as a unified landscape.

The Caledon embodies quiet craftsmanship—the idea that thoughtful proportion, exceptional material and careful execution can be enough. It is a working kitchen board designed to perform every day while remaining beautiful enough to never need putting away.
