THE STORY

The Host begins with one of the simplest traditions in the home: preparing something to share with others. Crafted from a single slab of Black Walnut, deep heartwood moves through the centre while lighter areas of sapwood trace the edges, preserving the natural character and history of the tree.

Its broad integrated handle is sculpted directly from the same piece of walnut, creating a continuous form designed to move effortlessly from kitchen to table. At 18½" × 7¼" × ¾", its proportions provide room for cheeses, charcuterie, artisan breads and shared appetizers without becoming cumbersome in the hand.

The Host was created for the person who takes pleasure in bringing people together. It is a board for preparing the table, pouring the wine and setting something beautiful down between friends—a piece designed not simply to serve food, but to become part of the ritual of hosting.
