THE ORCHARD

Figured Black Walnut & Applewood · Edge Grain

$180 (SOLD)

The Orchard combines the richness of figured Black Walnut with slender Applewood accents. The contrasting stripes create a clean visual rhythm while allowing the walnut's natural movement to remain the focus. Built first as an everyday cutting board, it is beautiful enough to move directly from the kitchen to the table.

THE STORY

The Orchard is a study in natural contrast. Figured Black Walnut provides a rich, expressive foundation while slender bands of Applewood introduce warmth and rhythm across the surface. The lighter accents punctuate the walnut without overwhelming it, allowing the character of both species to remain distinctly visible.

Its edge-grain construction was designed around versatility. At 18¾" × 9" × ⅞", The Orchard offers ample room for everyday preparation while maintaining a lighter profile that moves easily from kitchen to table.

The Orchard celebrates the beauty found when different materials are allowed to complement rather than compete with one another. It is first and foremost a cutting board, but its considered proportions and distinctive composition make it equally comfortable becoming part of the presentation when the cooking is done.
