The Ridge preserves the organic character of a single Black Walnut slab. Its changing width, natural live edges and prominent central knot ensure that no two pieces can ever be exactly alike. Minimal intervention allows the grain and natural form of the tree to remain the defining features.

THE STORY
The Ridge is shaped as much by the tree as by the maker. Cut from a single slab of Black Walnut, its natural edges trace the original contours of the wood while a prominent knot and sweeping grain preserve evidence of decades of growth.
Rather than forcing the slab into perfect symmetry, the design follows its existing form. The live edges are refined enough to be comfortable in the hand while retaining the irregularity that gives the piece its unmistakable character.
The Ridge exists somewhere between serving piece and natural object. Designed for charcuterie, bread and shared food, it brings a fragment of the tree's original landscape to the table—individual by nature and impossible to reproduce exactly.
